Helping Others by Providing Everyday Essentials
"You cannot Hope to build a better world without improving the individuals. To that end, each of us must work for his own improvement and, at the same time, share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular duty being to aid those to whom we can be most useful."
Velvet&Ashe was a company founded by three sisters who had a deep desire to enrich the lives of those around them and provide meaningful opportunities for our employees and partners. As a company, we see the men and women involved in our company as inspiring multi-dimensional individuals who have boundless talents and gifts that can and will inspire, heal and better the communities we serve. Following the structure of our firm, we wanted to create a division solely for charity. Unlike the traditional route of requiring employees to complete a certain amount of volunteer hours, collecting money for a charity, or gathering cans on Thanksgiving (which, make no mistake, still help and serve so many of those in need) we wanted to create a division which houses and supports the charitable works our employees are passionate about. We work harder, smarter, and more passionately when we are spearheading community works we are personally passionate about.
We brainstormed and developed the sector called "HOPEE", pronounced, "Hope". Hope is what keeps us moving forward, keeps us encouraged, motivated and grounded but not too grounded to restrict us from dreaming big. So, why HOPEE?
HOPEE stands for: Helping Others by Providing Everyday Essentials. Each passion project is aimed at instilling hope. We start by building connections, getting to know the men and women who make the community. Making connections, fostering relationships and building trust so Velvet&Ashe becomes synonymous with what is providing our community HOPE.
When faith and hope fail , as they do sometimes, we must try charity, which is love in action - Dinah Mulock
